Composting

One day walking through a square in El Barrero I saw that a group of people were gathered. All around them were different flower pots and at one table there was organic food. I went over to see what it was all about. They were a group of people interested in taking care of the environment. They collect organic waste in the town of El Barrero and then make compost with worms, after that they harvest vegetables, like pumpkins. I found it so wonderful that I wanted to be part of that project. We would go out on Tuesdays and Thursdays to do the collection, on a bike, the people already knew us, they had the waste ready, although sometimes they put it together with some kind of plastic, which we then had to dispose of.
