Before I went to college, I went to high school. I didn't really want to go, because what I wanted was to be in college and not to be making writing guides with schoolchildren. I was going with the intention of doing well at PSU, before going to class I worked as a photographer in a kindergarten. In high school I hardly spoke to anyone, I was just going to learn. One day I started talking to a classmate, his name was Hugo, well, he didn't talk much either. Today, three years later, I realize that I was lucky enough to meet a person as wonderful as him, faithful to his ideals he decided to study pedagogy in mathematics and I am sure that he will be the best teacher in a school with few resources, he will help young people with dysfunctional families and will motivate them to get ahead, a future teacher who will never lose his passion for teaching and show those young people that coming from the neighborhood is not an impediment to achieving great things in life. Thank you, Hugo.

A Subject you've enjoyed studying this semester

  Analytical chemistry One field that I really liked this semester was analytical chemistry, because when you mix certain cations with others, you visually analyze a change of color in the solution or the emission of certain gases, some also with colors. Beyond writing formulas and reactions on paper, in this class we were able to observe how what we write on paper is fulfilled in practice, this under a lot of restriction because we only had online classes and we could not be in the lab in person. In addition, the teachers were very empathetic and at the time of the tests, they gave us three or four hours to perform them, so I could give the tests very calmly, upload the photos correctly and above all understand what they were asking me and plant my learning.

There is a lot of preparation, maintenance or cooking of food, even what we consider waste in fruits or vegetables, we ignore that in the shell is most of the antioxidants. So there are many kinds of foods to choose from; gluten-free, lactose-free, but do people really know how to choose what they eat? Does anyone read the labels on the products? Do we know what we're eating? Nowadays there is an inefficient food education, nobody teaches you how to buy food or how it should be kept, the right way to wash each fruit or vegetable. Many diseases are transmitted through food, such as salmonella or escherichia coli, in addition to the current disease. All these things I ask myself and try to see how, being a food engineer, I can help people understand packaging to select according to their needs.

Composting One day walking through a square in El Barrero I saw that a group of people were gathered. All around them were different flower pots and at one table there was organic food. I went over to see what it was all about. They were a group of people interested in taking care of the environment. They collect organic waste in the town of El Barrero and then make compost with worms, after that they harvest vegetables, like pumpkins. I found it so wonderful that I wanted to be part of that project. We would go out on Tuesdays and Thursdays to do the collection, on a bike, the people already knew us, they had the waste ready, although sometimes they put it together with some kind of plastic, which we then had to dispose of.

What's your favourite piece of technology?

                                                                         My favorite piece of technology is my cell phone, because I find all my social networks in it, I can listen to music and watch ucursos, also lately I have done tik tok, some of dance and others to make my friends laugh with everyday situations or stories that have happened to me, I see the tik tok of others and I laugh a lot. Making tik tok is not easy, it takes a lot of time and you have to learn many techniques, making a video can take from five minutes to hours. I use my cell phone very often, more so now that I'm at home all day, it's my way of knowing what's going on outside. If I didn't have it, it would be difficult, because I am very used to it. As soon as I wake up I check to see if homework or notes have been uploaded, also...
